Midwestern State University is a public university located in Wichita Falls, Texas. Founded in 1922 as Wichita Falls Junior College, Midwestern State is one of the four independent public universities in Texas. The university offers more than 50 undergraduate majors, over 40 graduate degree options (master’s and doctoral) as well as six professional certificate programs in a range of disciplines including education, business, nursing, and liberal arts. The university also offers two doctoral programs: an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
