Lane College

Lane College is a historically black college located in Jackson, Tennessee. Founded in 1882 by Bishop Isaac Lane, the college was envisioned as a “Christian Industrial Training School” to support educational and cultural development in the African American community. Today, Lane College’s mission is to “provide a transformative educational experience” by “preparing students for leadership through academic excellence and Christian values.” Offering 29 undergraduate degrees, Lane College is committed to offering quality higher education while maintaining the original vision of its beloved founder. The college prides itself on providing students with preparation for careers and the development of moral character and spiritual maturity. With its strong sense of community, Lane College is committed to creating an environment that prepares students for the global challenges of an ever-changing world.
