Carson-Newman University is a private, Christian liberal arts university located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Jefferson City, Tennessee. It is one of the oldest universities in the state, being founded in 1851. The school is affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention and other religious denominations, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It provides students with a rich learning environment and opportunities for spiritual growth and intellectual development.
