Ursinus College

Ursinus College is a private, independent, coeducational liberal arts college located in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, about 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Philadelphia. Founded in 1869 as the first coeducational liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, it is also the first college in the United States to be founded and modeled after the German Gymnasium system of education. The college enrolls approximately 1,650 undergraduate students and offers more than 50 majors in a range of fields, including business, science, English, history, and the performing and visual arts. In addition to its strong academics, Ursinus is known for its vibrant student life, which features more than 100 clubs and organizations, as well as an active athletics program that competes in the NCAA Division III Centennial Conference. Ursinus is truly an exceptional place of learning, providing its students with an outstanding collegiate experience.
