Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania is a comprehensive regional university located in the heart of north-central Pennsylvania. Founded in 1870, LHU is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) and serves more than 5,400 students. LHU offers a variety of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in teacher education, arts and sciences, business, health and sciences and technology, as well as doctoral and foreign language education. LHU is home to 15 NCAA division II varsity sports teams and a vibrant student life organization. The University boasts diverse clubs, organizations, intramural sports and a vibrant Greek community. The University also has a long-standing commitment to service learning and our students are engaged in a wide range of community involvement across Pennsylvania and around the world.
