The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is a public university located in the city of Pembroke, North Carolina. It was founded in 1887 as the Croatan Normal School, and is now part of the 16-campus University of North Carolina System. UNC Pembroke offers 33 undergraduate degrees, 16 master’s degrees, and two doctoral degrees through the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Education, the School of Business, and the School of Health Sciences.
