Georgian Court University is a private Roman Catholic university located in Lakewood Township, New Jersey. Established in 1908 as a women’s college, the school merged with Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2012 making it New Jersey’s only university with two campuses. The university offers a range of undergraduate, master’s and doctorate degree programs. As a Catholic university, faith-based values are embedded into the academic and extracurricular offerings of the school. Georgian Court has recently updated its campus to include modern residence hall and apartment complexes, a state-of-the-art library, an arena, and recreational and entertainment venue. With close proximity to New York City and the Jersey Shore, Georgian Court provides its students with access to many of the major metro area’s cultural and recreational attractions.
