Missouri State University is a public university located in Springfield, Missouri. It was established in 1905 as the Fourth District Normal School and acquired its current name in 1965. The university comprises of seven colleges offering over 200 undergraduate and 50 graduate programs in the fields of business, humanities, education, science and technology, health professions, public affairs and counseling. Missouri State University has been consistently ranked amongst the top 150 public universities in the United States by publications such as U.S. News & World Report.
