Grand Valley State University

Grand Valley State University (GVSU) is a public university in Allendale, Michigan. The university has two satellite campuses in downtown Grand Rapids and in Holland, Michigan, and hosts classes at other centers throughout the region. Founded in 1960, GVSU offers undergraduate and graduate programs from its College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Health Professions, Kirkhof College of Nursing, Seidman College of Business, Padnos College of Engineering and Computing, and School of Education. As of 2018, GVSU had 20,290 students. The university offers many degree options in a variety of disciplines, including liberal arts and sciences, business, engineering, education, computer science, and health professions. Along with an array of academic programs and student support services, GVSU offers a vibrant campus life with over 200 student organizations, intramural sports and recreational activities. Located in West Michigan, GVSU has a commitment to sustainability, highlighted by its Silver Sustainability Star by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.
