Paine College

Paine College is a liberal arts college located in Augusta, Georgia. It was founded in 1882 by the ministerial association of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South to educate black students in the Southeastern United States. The college strives to create a learning environment that encourages students to become creative thinkers, committed citizens, and ethical persons. Paine College offers a range of degree programs including business, education, biology, engineering, mathematics and religion. The college also develops and offers many student extracurricular activities, including football, volleyball and basketball teams, drama, service clubs, sororities and fraternities, and student government.
