Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) is a public university that was founded in 1903 and is located in Danbury, Connecticut. This university is a part of the Connecticut State University System and is one of the four regional universities in the system. WCSU offers a wide range of study options, including liberal arts, professional programs, and career-oriented studies, in more than 50 areas of study. These include but are not limited to: business and public administration, computer and information technology, criminal justice, education, nursing, communication and media arts, fine and performing arts, and psychology. The university also provides master’s degree programs in accounting and financial services, creative writing, health administration, nursing, social work, and technology management. It also offers a doctoral degree program in psychosocial genetics and gerontology. With a vibrant student activities program, attractive campus, and a dedicated faculty, WCSU is ranked among the best universities in the nation.
