Fairfield University is located in Fairfield, Connecticut just outside of New York City. Founded in 1942, the university is grounded in the Jesuit Catholic tradition, offering more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students a rigorous academic experience informed by the intellectual, spiritual, ethical, and social development of its students. The university’s main campus consists of more than 30 buildings, including two residence halls, two libraries, a performing arts center, a sports complex, and a student center. The campus also boasts more than 30 acres of outdoor greenspace, providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation and education. In addition to academic programs, Fairfield also has a thriving athletics program that competes in the NCAA Division I.
