The Rhode Island School of Design or RISD is a world-renowned art and design college located in Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 1877, RISD is dedicated to advancing creative education to prepare students for professional and civic life. The college offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in traditional fine arts disciplines such as painting, sculpture, and drawing, multimedia and digital media design, illustration, photography and printmaking. In addition, RISD offers programs in industrial and graphic design, architecture, landscape architecture and design, and various other fields of study.
