Washington Adventist University is an independent co-educational liberal arts institution located in the unincorporated community of Takoma Park in Montgomery County, Maryland. Established in 1904 as a Seventh-day Adventist school, it is one of the three universities of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America offering a comprehensive liberal arts education. With academic excellence founded on the liberal arts core and its faith-based religious perspective, WAU’s challenging curriculum is designed to prepare students for a life of community service and leadership in their chosen careers.
