Oral Roberts University (ORU) is a private, Christian interdenominational liberal arts university in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 1963, the school is named after its founder, evangelist Oral Roberts, and is affiliated with the Pentecostal/charismatic denomination of Christianity. ORU offers over 70 undergraduate bachelor’s degrees, as well as graduate degrees, including master’s and doctoral programs. The university is recognized for its unique curriculum and philosophy, which emphasizes “whole person education,” the integration of faith, learning and a global perspective. Other features of the university include its Divisions of Honor and Mission, and the Oral Roberts University School of Law. By providing quality education with a Christian worldview, ORU seeks to prepare students to fulfill their potential and engage the world in service to God and humanity.
